Soprano Cecilia Hjortsberg is trained at Stockholm's Royal Academy of Music.

Chamber Music training at Gothenburg Opera's Opera Studio.

She debuted in the lead role as Isis in Naumann's "Osiris" in 2005

In the same year, she sang the role of Donna Anna in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" with the Skånska Operan

She has since performed a number of roles as Georgetta in Puccini's "Il Tabarro" and the Witch in Humperdinck's "Hans & Greta" as well as the Second Water Nymph in Dvorak's "Rusalka" with the Royal Opera in Copenhagen.

In 2010 she sang the role of Desdemona in Verdi's "Othello" at the Royal Opera, Takkeloftet and she sang the same role in 2013, 2014 and 2016 with Opera i Provinsen.

In 2012 she sang Michaela in Bizet's "Carmen" at Skt. Margarethen in Vienna with Alfred Eschwé as conductor, and the same year she sang Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviata" with the Copenhagen Opera Company.

In 2013 she sang Michaela with the Royal Theatre's Carmen tour with Guido-Operan.

In the spring, Cecilia will sing the Second Lady in a concert performance of Mozart's "Magic Flute".

 She sang her first Wagner role Ortlinde in Wagner´s “Valkyria” at the Danish Royal opera 2022.

Cecilia had another big debut that year:  Aida in Verdis “Aida” which she sang at Opera Hedeland´s mini Aida.

In 2022 she won the first prize in Grand prize Virtuoso Music Competition in Paris.

2023 she sang the role of Sacerdotessa in Verdis “Aida” at the Danish Royal Opera.

She received Holger Bruusgards honor scholarship from the Danish Royal Opera for her interpretation of that role.

 In June 2023 she won the first prize AND the special prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso competition in Salzburg which led to a solo recital in Barcelona at the Victoria Montserrat´s music center.

2024 she sang Donna Anna in Mozart´s “Don Giovanni” in Blekinge Operafestival in Sweden, and later the same year Cecilia had a solo recital in Crotone Italy with the Orchestra O Stillo with the conductor Fernando Romano a collaboration with Grand Prize Virtuoso Music Competition

Cecilia has also have had concert around the world, USA, Vienna, Canada, Italy, Spain. Recently, she sang at a concert in Mysore (India) with the Royal Opera Ballet
